Current Volunteer Opportunities (Unpaid Positions)
Volunteer to Advocate on behalf of Abused and Neglected Children needed for 6 to 12 months
Opportunity Description: Passaic County CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) is seeking members for the Board of Trustees who has a sincere desire to help our kids, combined with the talent to do so! The Passaic office is only 1 year old, but we are growing very fast. During the past 12 months we have had much success in recruiting volunteers and raising money. We find it necessary to now add several seats to our Board. The ideal candidates will have a business, legal or financial background. Our Board is different than many, because each of our current 11 members demonstrates true "hands on" involvement in the area of their expertise. Sometimes we meet applicants who are interested in sitting on our Board in a figurehead capacity, and for those well intentioned people, there are other organizations for which they would be better suited. If you have the desire to actively become involved in a cause that will become one of the most worthwhile causes that you will associate yourself with throughout your life, and would like to explore it further in some detail, we look forward to hearing from you soon. We need you...
